INTEGRATION EVENING - TALENT NIGHT

Integration evening at the school in Grojec was an entertaining event which helped the students integrate even more. During the evening the students could present their talents. It was amazing how gifted the students were at singing, dancing, doing sports, playing different instruments, etc. The event ended with a big SIFA cake - a special treat for the guest countries.

WORKSHOPS - creating websites

Students were working collaboratively to create websites, using weebly.com

There were four international groups, each working on a separate topic. The topics were all connected with Safety on the Internet: sexting, grooming, cyberbullying and offensive content. The students task was to create an instructive website which would be easily accessible.

QUIZ at Jagiellonian University

The visit in Krakow started with a workshop at Jagiellonian University. Phd Dominika Dziwisz conducted a quiz checking the students' knowledge about the dangers connected with the use of the Internet. The students were divided into four teams, and after a lecture on Internet safety, the participants had to compete against each other with a view to winning the main prize.

Presentation on Cyberbullying by ALTER

One of the presentations given during the visit in Poland was one on cyberbullying and cyberstalking. Mr Andrzej Chodkiewicz from Personal Development Centre ALTER was our guest speaker. The students participating in the lecture were made more familiar with the causes and consequences of the problems in question. What is even more important, the listeners could learn more about the possible ways of solving the problems.

Tasks for meeting in Poland (Monday 25/04/2016 to Friday 29/04/2016)

TOPIC OF THE MEETING: SAFETY ON THE INTERNET.

Issues to be dealt with:

•             Grooming / online predation / Internet predators

•             Cyberbullying, Cyberstalking

•             Offensive content - violence, self-injuries, pro-ana movement, discrimination

•             Sexting and Obscene content, e.g. pornography

The following tasks should be prepared by the students that will participate at the meeting in Poland with the assistance and supervision of the SIFA teachers:
