Views and impressions about what took place in Austria (from the Greek team)

The Greek team really enjoyed the experience of the meeting in Austria. These are some of the views expressed by the Greek students that participated:

"I believe that the educational trip to Austria was a very positive experience for us, the students who took part. Not only did we meet the culture of another country with a very effective way (accommodation in the houses of the Austrian students), but we also worked creatively on projects that concerned us. In Austria, the main project was "Internet Addiction". Through inventive activities, we blended into multi-national groups and we co-operated, thus creating noticeable work. Moreover, we got to learn more about Austria through interesting tours that were organized either by the project or by the Austrian families of the houses we lived in. Personally, I found the trip very interesting and I would love to be a part of such a project again. I believe that such projects are opportunities that no student should miss."

"The trip we had with the program ERASMUS+ to Austria was very interesting as we met children from other countries. We were also able to learn more things about the country itself. Moreover we tried traditional food such as schnitzel and sacher-torter which were the foods I really enjoyed eating. As an experience itself it was unique and i would like to do it again."

This year our school participated in a European project called Erasmus+. With an unconventional mind this program took a trip to Austria and during the year there will be held four more trips. Participants of this program were the following countries: Greece, Austria, Norway, Sweden and Poland. Each country sent four students and two teachers on this trip. In Austria the first day was a bit strange because we did not know anyone, but students and professors there with their nice mood and their behavior made us feel a bit better! We presented our presentation and we sat down and after a while we broke the ice through the little games! On Tuesday we made little project groups and we worked. Then we went to the Art Electronic Center and we found out a lot of interesting things about technology. On Wednesday our day was really exciting because we took the train and went to Vienna, where we spent nice time together. On Thursday all the groups were working in a friendly atmosphere for the Fridays' projects, after that, we had a guided tour in Ybbs from one of the Austrian teachers. On Friday we were really nervous about our presentations. But when we finished the presentation they were nice. Then we went at a bakery where we made our own breads and we learned a lot of things about Austrian breads. Saturday was the most difficult day. It was the day we left! No-one of the students wanted to live. I think the teachers had the same feelings! I want to thank the students, their families and the teachers for that amazing week, which no one will forget!

Austria was an amazing place with a lot of new things (the culture, the food, the museums, the buildings). We made new friends from other countries. Every day we had to do new activities and workshops. It was really interesting and funny because all the countries worked together in teams. We had to do workshops for the program that we went and my job was to take photos. It was really cool because Austria has beautiful landscape and a lot of green. The trip was an amazing and unforgettable experience. My host was so friendly and she tried to make me feel comfortable in every way.
